PROCYTE EXPANDS DIRECT TO CONSUMER LICENSE
Featuring NuGlow® Skin Care Products
Redmond, Wash.—May 19, 2004—ProCyte Corporation (OTCBB: PRCY.OB),
a company that develops and markets skin
care and procedure related products for the dermatology, cosmetic
surgery and spa markets based on its patented GHK Copper Peptide Complex®
technologies, today announced its licensee in the direct-mail infomercial market will
begin a major expansion of its innovative marketing programs. Steve
Dworman, a leader in the direct response industry and President of It
Really Works, LLC, has teamed with Steve Sheiner to launch their NuGlow®
skin care campaign to consumers
nationwide. Mr. Sheiner, a cofounder of MP-3, which was later sold to
Vivendi, has made a major investment in the privately-held company.
The NuGlow®
promotion features actress Nicolette Sheridan endorsing skin care
products using ProCyte’s GHK Copper Peptide technology. Market tests in
2003 proved extremely successful after testing the campaign for a year
period of time. The roll-out will begin late summer and early fall and
involve the mailing of 4–6 million direct response pieces to targeted
households with a history of purchasing from mail order offers.
“We are extremely
excited with the marketing focus Steve Dworman has created in his
direct-to-consumer skin care program,” said Jack Clifford, President.
“The potential revenue for ProCyte could be significant as the program
rolls-out and if product usage builds as planned. The early results are
very positive and consumer loyalty to the products is far better than
results seen in many direct response programs.”
ProCyte Corporation develops and markets products based on its patented,
clinically proven Copper Peptide technology for skin health, hair care
and wound care. The Company sells directly to dermatologists, plastic
and cosmetic surgeons, spas and salons and through licenses with
strategic partners into the consumer market, including its long-term
worldwide license agreement with Neutrogena®, a Johnson &
Johnson company. ProCyte brands include Neova®,
VitalCopper™,
Simple Solutions®
and AquaSanté®
Skin Care products; Complex Cu3®
Post-Procedure Skin Care; GraftCyte®
Hair Transplant Care; and Tricomin®
Advanced Care for Thinning Hair. The Company also has the exclusive
distribution rights for Cutanix Corporation’s Quadrinone®
technology in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico. Additional information
